DIGITAL X-RAYS
Dental radiographs (x-rays) are one of the most important parts of your dental treatment. They are a useful diagnostic tool to help us detect disease and decay not otherwise visible during your examination. Additionally, radiographs can be used to check the density of your bone, which is an important measure to consider if you are thinking about getting dental implants. The advent of digital radiography has allowed x-rays to be taken and developed more quickly than using regular film. They also use less radiation and give us the option to use color contrast when viewing the x-ray, so we can see your teeth in better detail. If you are pregnant, please let our staff know, as we may opt to delay taking x-rays if there is no suspicion of disease.
