CHILD'S FIRST VISIT

Are you unsure as to when to bring your child for their first dental visit?  Both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend bringing your child in by age one.  Our goal is to make your child comfortable in the dental chair from their very first visit, and this actually starts before you even come into the office.  It is important for you to show your child a positive attitude towards going to the dentist, as that will shape their perspective of coming to see us.  Their first visit – a “happy visit” as we say – includes showing them the various sights and sounds of the dental office, using kid-friendly vocabulary so we can see them in a fun and non-threatening environment.  We will even let them touch and hold many of the items that we use, giving them a sense of control during their first visit.
