COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

One principle in our dental profession’s code of conduct is known as beneficence.  Simply put, this means “do good.”  Our team at Reno Family Dentistry holds this principle in high regard and looks for opportunities to give back to those in need in our community.  We are proud and humbled to provide service in several ways.

Community Involvement:

  • Freedom Day USA – We are one of the few dental offices in the state to participate in this nationwide day of service.  Each fall, we dedicate one full day to providing same-day dental services to our heroes – veterans and active military members.  Our services include cleanings, x-rays, comprehensive examinations, fillings, and extractions.  Food, drinks, raffle prizes, and more are all part of a fun, fulfilling day here at our office where we have an opportunity to say THANK YOU to all those who serve us!

  • Trinity Free Clinic and Heart & Soul Clinic - Many Saturday mornings throughout the year, Dr. Reno volunteers at two free dental clinics in Hamilton County – Trinity Free Clinic and Heart & Soul Clinic – continually trying to improve the oral health and dental education of the community at large.

  • Indiana Mission of Mercy (MOM) – Every other year, the Indiana Dental Association Foundation for Dental Health, Inc. hosts a large-scale dental clinic that lasts an entire weekend.  Dr. Reno always looks forward to this biannual event, as it is a great way to reach an under-served population that has not had adequate access to dental care.

Professional Involvement:

  • Spear Study Club – Regularly throughout the year, Dr. Reno stays updated on the latest techniques and technology in clinical dentistry by joining a small group of dental professionals to discuss approaches to challenging and complex cases.

  • Indiana Dental Association – Each year, Dr. Reno participates in a 2-part series, sponsored by the IDA, called the Center for Excellence in Continuing Education.  He has also serves on the subcommittee in charge of organizing and finding speakers for the events.

  • American Dental Association, Indianapolis District Dental Society – Active member.
